Salieri was also a genius, for he could understand the true beauty of Mozart's art, in a way that perhaps none of Mozart's contemporaries could. Mediocre movie directors could either be like Salieri, failing to achieve greatness only because they do not have the gift or they could also be of the kind that are only in it for the money. The former would envy Milos Forman's skill, the latter would scoff at him for not having more explosions and car chases in his movies.
