The CSS for your lifestream shows that the anchor tags are displayed as blocks instead of inline.
This is because of the inherited declaration from line 162 in your master.css:
.comments a {
display: block;
Applying an inline style to anchor tags inside ff comments should fix it:
.friendfeed.widget .feed .entry .comment a {
display: inline;
}
Alternately, this style may be applied at the widget level:
.friendfeed.widget a {
display: inline;
}

René, that seems to be the default way the author names are displayed, ie. on the same line as the comments if there is enough space. I have not applied any CSS styling to get it that way.
If you could give me the link to your lifestream page, I might be able to figure out something from the CSS.
